Makeover!!

It was beyond time for this. How's it look?

I am SOO pleased with the way it turned out. A HUGE thanks to Jen over at Jae Bird Designs , she is awesome at blog designs! She's also probably the most reasonably priced blog designer I've come across. If you're thinking about changing it up a bit, please check her out. You won't regret it!! :)

...and for giggles, she's learned that whining will (mostly) get her what she wants. So she abuses her powers. :)
Her (fake) sad face, complete with (fake) whine and all, when she wants to be held:

**Birthday plans are coming right along! Invites will go out next week, and let me just say... our house is overflowing with decorations, and my mind with ideas! I'm still in denial about my baby turning one. :( Prepare for an emotional wreck on March 4th.

Beep Beep!

Cruising in her little car. :) She's such a big girl, with both hands on the wheels and trying to honk the horn!

We had to stop so she could pick up some grass. She insisted. :)

Snow day!

We live in Georgia. Georgia, people. I've lived her my entire life and can honestly say I've probably seen snow a total of 5 times. Until last year... you might remember me blogging about our rare occassion in February, and I might have mentioned the fact that it snowed just a bit the day after Christmas (yes, in DECEMBER!). Boy are we in for a treat this winter. Sunday night the flurries started, all through the night it went back and forth from sleet to snow, snow to sleet. We woke up Monday morning to this:

4 inches of snow! Needless to say, no school/day care yesterday or today. It's still below freezing!

Lily didn't know what to think:

So what do you do when you're snowed in? Break out the 4 wheelers, add a kayak, and have at it!

This is how we do things in the south. ;) You know you like my outfit... ha!

10 Months

I'm so late posting this. :( School just started back... this is the first semester since Lily was born that I've taken on my "full load". (2 classes. It's all I can handle, lol)

I've been knee deep in planning a certain soon-to-be-one-year-old's very important birthday party. :) I get all misty eyed just thinking about it, but I'm so excited for her! Our baby girl is morphing into a beautiful little girl before our eyes. I'm pretty positive that I'll be updating the blog very soon with some "walking" news. She's :this: close!

On to the stats:
  • Like I just mentioned, she's so close to walking! She walks everywhere just holding on to our hands. She's a pro on her walkers. Just two weeks ago she had no idea how to use them... now she's all over the house with it!
  • As of her last doctors appointment (last Tuesday) she weights 22 lbs. 6 oz. Chub chub. :)
  • Her vocabulary has expanded: she now says Mama, Dada, bye bye, dog (sounds like daow), Hi dog (haha) and she's combining all sorts of sounds like Dabu, Dabobo, etc. but who knows what in the world they mean. ;)
  • She crawls up to our legs, stands up, and bounces on her tippy toes when she wants us to pick her up. So cute!
  • We started her on lunch the week after Christmas. She's doing so great with it! She now eats cereal or yogurt for breakfast, "soup" for lunch (whatever the day care fixes, always good food, mashed up for the babes), and pint sized bites of whatever we're having for dinner.
  • She still hasn't dropped a bottle! She's consuming between 24-30 oz of breastmilk a day, on top of her solids!!
  • She's still in size 4 diapers.
  • Stranger Danger has improved SO much this month. She lost it in the grocery store when some lady pretty much attacked her little hand with kisses, but other than that she's been okay with letting people she knows hold her.
  • I really didn't think it would happen this fast, but she's outgrown a lot of her 12 month clothes. She's fitting pretty good in most of the 18 month ones, some are just a little long. We roll up the pant legs... they're the only ones that fit around that gut. :)
Excuse the pictures, I'm in a serious rut:
