It's amazing to think that Jack and I are going to be parents in 7 weeks or so. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the feelings that I feel just typing that. Everything is coming together, and every day that passes we are one day closer to meeting our baby girl. I just simply can't believe it. :)
This week has been a week of progress in the nursery. We got the dresser in... and we're still struggling trying to piece it together. ::hehe:: The blinds and curtains are up, my hanging laterns that I had a fit for are now displayed about the glider, and we found a shag rug at Target that just happened to match the wall color perfectly! Her clothes (that we have now) have been washed and are all folded and/or hung up, ready for wear.
My first shower is this weekend and I'm thrilled! I have the best group of friends and family... seriously.
**How far along? 33 Weeks... 7 to go!!
**Total weight gain/loss: Holy cow. Literally. COW. 33 lbs.
**How big is baby?: She should be around the 4 - 4 1/2 lb mark now. :)
**Maternity clothes? Barely. My stomach hangs out of everything. It's not cute.
**Stretch marks? I'm bitter about this question. I think I might have the beginning of some on my tummy. I'm still holding out hope though!
**Sleep: pfff- need I say more?
**Best moment this week: Getting more of the nursery put together. Oh, and finding out Lily is "locked and loaded"! She's head down!!
**Movement: She's running out of room, so it's not really kicks/punches anymore. It's more like shes doing log rolls in there. She'll start on one side and roooolll her way to the other. It's the craziest thing to look at. :)
**Food cravings: Considering the snow cone vendor DISAPPEARED, I've had to resort to only slush puppies this week. Still delish, but damn I want a snow cone now. :(
**Gender: Sweet baby girl!
**Labor Signs: Not too many braxton hicks this week, which is good I guess?
**Belly Button in or out? Haha - I'll have an outie for the remainder of this journey.
**What I am looking forward to: My first baby shower this weekend!
**Weekly Wisdom: Don't worry too much if baby isn't head down early on. I thought for sure we'd have a problem... but sure enough, she turned when she was ready!
**Milestones: Lily's head down, the nursery is coming together, and we only have 7 or so weeks left!

Happiness 101 Award!
Thanks to mkemily for this award!
10 things that make me happy:
1. My husband. After 5 years together, he still gives me butterflies. :)
2. Feeling our sweet baby girl kicking away. It's such a surreal experience every single time, and knowing that's she's okay in there is the most wonderful feeling in the world! This is what life is really all about.
3. Our first born children... hehe... aka my dogs. I love them to death! They're always there to make me smile. :)
4. The beach. In particular - Naples, FL. It's my favorite place in the world! Sitting on the sand, drinking a frozen strawberry daquiri, thinking about absolutely nothing and listening to the waves. It doesn't get much better than that.
5. Accomplishing goals with Jack. It's so much more rewarding when you can share an accomplishment with the most important person in your life.
6. Shopping at Target, but only after I stop at Starbucks (the one in Target) and get my favorite: French vanilla cappucino w/ an extra shot of vanilla.
7. Singing at the top of my lungs! It's my release. I do this when I'm mad, sad, happy, feeling anxious, etc. It always calms me down.
8. Cooking new things. We're not very open minded when it comes to food. Jack's the pickiest person I've ever met, and I'm okay with that since I'm not really an asparagus, onion, tofu eater myself. So we stick with the basics and go from there. It takes FOREVER to find new recipes that don't include some off the wall ingredient, but once I find them, I love trying it out!
9. Coupons. I'm horrible at coupon clipping and such, but it makes me happy to save money!
10. Okay, I have to put this: Slush Puppies. :) They really do make me happy!
I'm passing this along to the bloggers that brighten my day! Thanks to all of you for never letting me get bored at work. ;)
1. Lindsey - She always has some hilarious story to share. She's a week ahead of me in her pregnancy, and I love seeing what I have to look forward to.
2. Alyssa - I followed the majority of her pregnancy, and now that little Nathaniel is here, I love seeing all the great advice and updates. The precious pictures of her adorable little boy don't hurt either. ;)
3. Kendra - She's about 5 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy. I love the fact that she is "team green" and can't wait to find out what's in the oven!

32 Weeks!
I was sooo looking forward to this past Saturday. I had maternity pictures scheduled at 4, Jack didn't have to work, and I was getting a mani/pedi to celebrate and get ready for the event. This is something I've really looked forward to for a while. So Saturday rolls around, and first thing in the morning I head up to the nail salon for the best mani/pedi I've ever had. (The massage part at least) Head back home, clean, clean, clean, set out our cute outfits we bought from Target just for this occassion, and wait. 4:00 comes, and goes. Jack and I both looked online for a good 45 minutes trying to find her phone number, only to find one that was disconnected. An honest mistake? I sure hope so. We'll see if she responds to my email this morning.
Other than that, this past week was a good one! We're almost completely moved in!! We got the home phone hooked up Friday, and cable was finally installed last night! You wouldn't believe how happy it made us to have the ability to watch TV again! We're such lazy people. ;)
We've started setting up the nursery little by little. My first shower is on the 30th and I can't wait! I'll try and take pictures of the progress as we get it done.
We set up the crib!
Jack setting up our glider. (Which was a P.I.T.A)
**How far along? 32 Weeks... 8 to go!!
**Total weight gain/loss: I have no idea. My appointment is tomorrow so I'll update this next week. I have no idea where our home scale is... somewhere in a box!
**How big is baby?: Around 3 1/2 lbs.
**Maternity clothes? I don't know how much longer I'll be able to fit in them, but yes for now. What's next? Do they make "Maternity clothes for the overly pregnant"?
**Stretch marks? Still just the lonesome dove.
**Sleep: It was rough all week, but last night was heavenly!
**Best moment this week: Spending Saturday with Jack. I love our weekends together. :)
**Movement: She's back to her crazy self this week! Jack felt her little foot/hand roll across his hand this weekend.. he's so in love already. :)
**Food cravings: Still slush puppies, with the addition of snow cones! Call me crazy, but my body doesn't give a flip that it's 20 degrees outside. I HAVE to have some sort of ice treat.
**Gender: Sweet baby girl!
**Labor Signs: I've been having sporatic braxton hicks, but that's it. I think I'm going to go into labor at Target or Walmart. That's where the BH's always start! Always!
**Belly Button in or out? It's official... I have an outie. :)
**What I am looking forward to: My appointment tomorrow. I want to know if she's turned yet.
**Weekly Wisdom: Make sure you give your feet plenty of rest. There is nothing more disgusting (in my opinion, of course) than huge sausage ankles and toes that are so swollen they overlap. Sick, just plain sick. What a weird pregnancy symptom.
**Milestones: We are down to single digit weeks. 8 left! Every day that passes is a milestone.

31 Weeks - I'm a slacker :(
Okay, Okay. I skipped my 30 week post. Sooo much has happened in the past two weeks, including getting the C.O. (certificate of occupancy) on our house and moving in!!! After exactly 5 months, we have finished our dream of building a house! More on that (and pictures!!) later.
I simply cannot believe we are down to single digits with how many weeks until Lily arrives! I'm blown away at how fast everything is happening. I thank God every day that everything seems to be falling into place. We have a home, Jack's new job, now we're anxiously (but not too anxious!) awaiting the day we'll meet our baby girl.
We had our childcare and breastfeeding class this past Saturday, which went well. I was so proud of Jack, he took such an interest in everything our instructor was saying. That's saying a lot too, because I was almost bored to tears a few times! All in all, we both learned lots and I'm glad we did it!
**How far along? 31 Weeks... 9 to go!!
**Total weight gain/loss: Around 28 total.
**How big is baby?: Somewhere around 3 - 3 1/2 lbs!
*Maternity clothes? Yes and even these are getting a bit small.
**Stretch marks? Still just the lonesome dove.
**Sleep: Not too bad! My fingers are still crossed that it continues though.
**Best moment this week: Moving in our new house and setting up the crib. :)
**Movement: Becoming less often but definitely more pronounced. She takes my breath away... literally. ;)
**Food cravings: Mmmm.. still slush puppies.
**Gender: Sweet baby girl!
**Labor Signs: I've been having sporatic braxton hicks, but that's it.
**Belly Button in or out? It's official... I have an outie. :)
**What I am looking forward to: Finishing the nursery and getting her closet organized.
**Weekly Wisdom: Spend some time with your baby. I sing and hum to her every day, and she responds! I talk to her, tell her what her nursery looks like, what we're doing for the day, etc. Call me crazy, but I love "our" time.
**Milestones: Moving in, setting up the crib, getting my nursery chair I ordered in November! It's been a busy two weeks!
This was taken in our nursery! Finally!
